Transferred Cold Atmospheric Plasma Treatment on Melanoma Skin Cancer Cells with/without Catalase Enzyme In Vitro

چکیده
Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) is a promising tool to overcome certain cancerous and precancerous conditions in dermatology. A scheme of transferred CAP was first developed treat melanoma (B16F10) skin cancer cells as well non-malignant (L929) vitro. using silicone tube with jet system that assessed whether it could generate reactive oxygen nitrogen species (RONS) at near-room temperature. The characterized electrically spectroscopically. Biological data showed the killed but not cells. Plasma treatment effective time duration 30 s, whereas were less damaged during treatment. In addition, catalase (CAT) enzyme applied neutralize detoxify RONS generated by CAP. These findings suggest can be considered therapy.

Effect of Cold Atmospheric Plasma on Gene Expression and Methylation of Genes Involved in Colorectal Cancer
Background and purpose: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is ranked as the second most common cancer in men and the third most common cancer in women worldwide. Routine treatments have many side effects and little efficiency. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of Cold Atmospheric Plasma (CAP) on epigenetic changes of some genes involved in CRC progression. Materials and methods: Prolif...

Background and purpose: Cancer is one of the major health challenges in the world. The efficacy of current treatments is low but their side effects are high. Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) is a new modality for cancer treatment. This study aimed to compare the cytotoxicity effect of CAP on the cell line models of common cancers and normal cells. Materials and methods: In this experimental study...
متن کاملEffects of cold atmospheric plasma on viability of breast (MDA-MB-231) and cervical (Hela) cancer cells
Introduction: There are many reports published about the use of cold atmospheric plasma in cancer treatment recently. In this way, the selective effects of cold plasma on the breast (MDA-MB-231) and cervical (Hela) cancer cells were studied as a new cancer treatment method. Materials and Methods: In this study, cold atmospheric pressure plasma was generated using a plasma jet reactor and also o...
متن کاملThe Effect of Cold Atmospheric Plasma Treatment on Cancer Stem Cells
Intratumoral heterogeneity challenges existing paradigms for anticancer therapy. Accumulating evidence demonstrates that the model of cancer stem cells (CSCs) and the model of clonal evolution mutually contribute to intratumoral heterogeneity, as CSCs themselves undergo clonal evolution. The limitation of conventional anticancer therapies may lead to treatment failure and cancer recurrence, mai...
متن کاملCold atmospheric plasma, a novel promising anti-cancer treatment modality
Over the past decade, cold atmospheric plasma (CAP), a near room temperature ionized gas has shown its promising application in cancer therapy. Two CAP devices, namely dielectric barrier discharge and plasma jet, show significantly anti-cancer capacity over dozens of cancer cell lines in vitro and several subcutaneous xenograft tumors in vivo. In contrast to conventional anti-cancer approaches ...
